Shatavari[Asparagus racemosus] root extract
What is it?
•Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus), often regarded as ‘Queen of Herbs’, is an important versatile female tonic It contains more than 50 organic compounds, with the steroidal saponins being some of the important biological active constituents. Ref:NATURAL PRODUCT RESEARCH, 2016 30, 1896–1908.
How it works?
• Clinical trials have shown that saponin contents of shatavari are useful in menstrual disorders such as painful menstruations, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and irregular bleeding Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy 2018, 103, 46-49
• As a result of estrogen withdrawal, women experience menopause transition involving some extremely distressing symptoms such as insomnia, fatigue, joint pains, vasomotor symptoms, hot flashes, so on. Shatavari, owing to its phytoestrogen contents, is effective in reducing such adverse menopausal symptoms.

• Shatavari displays antidepressant-like activity by significantly inhibiting cholinesterase and MAO activities, and thereby positively affecting the mood and energy.
